Kayla Cartwright serves as Parliamentarian for the Oklahoma Dental Hygienists’ Association and is a Registered Dental Hygienist at the Implant Surgery Center in Norman, Oklahoma. With 17 years of experience in the dental field, Kayla began her journey as a dental assistant in 2008 before earning her dental hygiene degree from Rose State College in 2012.
Her decision to join OKDHA was inspired by a desire to grow professionally and surround herself with mentors who elevate the field. Today, she encourages others to do the same—believing that mentorship and visibility are key to showcasing the impact and value of the association.
Kayla and her husband have been married for 18 years and share life with their 5-year-old child on their beautiful acreage, where much of their time is spent outdoors tending to the land. She has a special love for gardening and caring for trees, finding joy and peace in nurturing growth—both in nature and in her profession. True to her humor and perspective, her favorite quote is: “The grass is always greener over the septic tank.”
